Hi, I’m Erica
Why I started thisI’m a Cranford mom of two and the founder of The 10-Hour Nanny. As a mom, I know how much goes into finding someone you feel comfortable leaving your children with. You want someone who is caring, dependable and a good fit for your family.
I started The 10-Hour Nanny because finding that person can be hard, especially when you only need help for part of the week. I wanted to make the process more personal, with someone you can talk to, ask questions and count on to stay involved.
Finding a fit for everyone
I take the time to understand your family, your schedule and what would make life a little easier. I also get to know caregivers and what they’re looking for, because a placement needs to work for both sides.
Experience is important, but so are personality, communication and clear expectations. My goal is to make thoughtful introductions that give families and caregivers a promising place to start.
You’ll work directly with me
When you reach out, I’m the one reading your inquiry, asking questions and making introductions. I want to hear how the call went, what you thought after meeting and whether anything has changed.
I’ll keep you updated, and I ask that you keep me in the loop, too. That communication helps me make better introductions and keep your search moving. I’ll also be honest about what I’m seeing, whether that’s a challenging schedule, a difference in rate expectations or an opportunity to consider someone you might not have pictured initially.
A little help can make a big difference
Sometimes having someone you trust for just a few hours can make your whole week feel more manageable. That’s where The 10-Hour Nanny began.
Today, I help families looking for everything from occasional babysitting and a few afternoons a week to full time care. Whatever your schedule looks like, the goal is the same: finding support that works for your family.
